Voyager began life as "ComTel," a software interface for computer-controlled telescopes. When renamed and published as a standalone astronomy program, it picked up glowing reviews from MacUser (5 out of 5 mice), Macworld ("I work with a large planetarium, and it can't do a fraction of what Voyager does"), and The New York Times ("thoroughly enjoyable and technically impressive...a source of limitless fascination").
Expanded successors include Voyager II and Voyager III.
